Four nights will quickly dream away the time;
And then the moon, like to a silver bow New-bent in heaven
And even for that do I love you the more.
The more you reject me, the more I will adore you.

PUCK is a multidisciplinary Opera created as a collaboration between two composers from the Royal College of Music and emerging artists in dance, animation, writing and singing. Between dream, virtuality and reality, PUCK reimagines Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream within contemporary London. Focusing on modern technology, this new creation respects the magical atmosphere of the original play and transposes the plot into a familiar but out of the ordinary space: one in which a smartphone app has the power to control human love, and where the deep forest becomes the city's underground.

Be kind and courteous to this gentleman;
Hop in his walks and gambol in his eyes;
Feed him with apricocks and dewberries,
With purple grapes, green figs, and mulberries.
If we shadows have offended,
Think but this, and all is mended,
That you have but slumberd’ here
While the visions did appear.
And this weak and idle theme,
No more yielding but a dream,
Gentles, do not reprehend:
If you pardon, we will mend:
And, as I am an honest Puck,
If we have unearned luck
Now to ‘scape the serpent’s tongue,
We will make amends ere long;
Else the Puck a liar call;
So, good night unto you all.
Give me your hands, if we be friends,
